Sam Houston Cancer Center is a Comprehensive Cancer Center offering state of the art Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and Imaging Services.
Here at Sam Houston Cancer Center, Radiation Oncology is under the direction of Kirk Kanady, M.D., a Harvard trained, board certified Radiation Oncologist. Radiation Oncology is also performed by Maria A. Sosa, MD and Ather Siddiqi, MD. Treatment planning for radiation therapy is performed using a 16 slice PET/CT equipped with respiratory gating which enables 4-D planning for superior radiation treatment delivery. Radiation treatment is performed on a Varian Trilogy linear accelerator. The Trilogy is the most advanced Varian linear accelerator with image guidance, cone beam CT and Stereotactic Radiation Therapy capabilities.
